What the owners LOVE about their home:
1. Location, location, location! Walking distance to beautiful lakes and parks. Big Lake beach and park is just 1.5 miles (a short walk from the end of the street) with boat launch, fishing dock, playground, movies, bands and farmers markets during summer. Lake Mitchell is at the end of Manitou Street. Spectacular views of both lakes can be enjoyed from the walking/biking path along the lakes. Many other trails and parks are around the neighborhood. Ice fishing is popular on both lakes during the wintertime. Close to amenities and shopping – Coborn’s grocery is in Big Lake or a short distance away in Monticello is Cub, Walmart, Target, Home Depot, Marshalls, Movies, Community Center pool, hot tub, gymnasium, indoor walking track. (Becker also has a great community center with pool, hot tub and sauna, etc.)
2. Great neighbors and neighborhood. (Our neighbors look out for each other!) Family and pet friendly, with beautiful park and playground across the street. School bus stops around the corner. We are just minutes away to Hwy 10 and Int 94.
3. This house. Great for families and entertaining. The option for having two separate living areas has been invaluable giving kids or out of town guests their own space and privacy. We have used the lower level as a media room, or exercise space but most of all our guests have enjoyed staying in their own private retreat. The walkout basement gives easy access to the yard and we have enjoyed entertaining around the firepit and family gatherings under the shade of the large maple tree. We have enjoyed picking cherries from the cherry tree the past few years (cherry scones are the best!). The Perennial garden is surrounded with Hosta plants and other hearty, flowering-low, maintenance free plants. We hope its new family enjoys it as much as we have!!
